SKA-SHIFRA Behavioral Health Group Home takes pride in having a dedicated team of behavioral health professionals who work tirelessly to provide exceptional care to our residents. Our team consists of nurse practitioners, clinical supervisors, and registered nurses, who work collaboratively with our full-time frontline personnel — the program director, behavioral health technicians, and paraprofessionals — to deliver the following services:

• Assessment and Admission of Residents
• Treatment Plans
• Medication Services
• Counseling/Support Intervention Services (Individual, Family, and Group Counseling)

Our behavioral health professionals and contracted health agencies work together to provide a variety of interventions that focus on promoting personal growth, personal care, social skills, adaptive daily living skills, and coping skills.

We ensure that all applicable federal and state health and safety codes are met to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for our clients. This includes facilities that are accessible to wheelchair users, well-equipped baths and toilets with grab bars, and spacious rooms.

Our facility operates 24/7, with personnel coverage provided by our team following the schedules below:

Shift 1
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5:1 Resident to Personnel Ratio

Shift 2
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 5:1 Resident to Personnel Ratio

Shift 3
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 5:1 Resident to Personnel Ratio

We do not use emergency safety response measures as a first resort. Instead, our personnel receives training on verbal de-escalation techniques to manage situations where a resident exhibits sudden intense outbursts or out-of-control behavior or there is an immediate threat to the life or health of a resident or personnel member.

Our personnel will attempt to employ de-escalation techniques to address the situation. If the employee is not able to handle the situation, we have established partnerships with crisis teams such as TERROS, other emergency response teams, or law enforcement agencies to ensure that our clients and personnel are safe and well-cared for. Our priority is to provide a supportive and therapeutic environment for our clients while maintaining their safety and well-being.
